Orion the hunter by Ragnar & Einar Johnskås Ding Dong Merrily On High was originally a dance tune that evolved to a carol. The the sixteenth century music was found in Piae Cantiones  a collection of Finnish tunes. Woodward rehabilitated the tune with 'Victorian era' words in Latin and English.
