Christmas day is a great day to feature this spectacular painting of Jesus Christ called 'El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús' by Salvador Dalí (1962), Oil on canvas 86.5 x 61 cm, Private collection. El Sagrado Corazón de Jesús  means The Sacred Heart of Jesus. I feel power and passion emanating from this exquisite painting. It communicates ethereal yet tangible, ascending and transcending, compassion and light. Dali has always been one of my favorite painters. But I wasn't aware of this beautiful work. Wow!

Merry Christmas! May this Holy day bless you with abundant Hope, Joy and Faith. All is well,  God's Divine Plan unfolds with perfection.

 

Libera is a group of boys directed by Robert Prizeman who sing like angels and often appear in white robes. They have been on TV, radio and in films. There are about 30 boys from South London, England aged seven to sixteen who make up the group. They think of themselves as an alternative boy band rather then a boy's choir. Dali's full name is Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech 1st Marquis of Púbol (May 11, 1904 – January 23, 1989), born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain was a surrealist painter. He attended drawing school in 1916 and 3 years later had his first exhibition. His extensive artistic endeavors include painting, film, sculpture, and photography. Ha-nerot hallalu  is an ancient chant mentioned in the Talmud (Soferim 20:6), which is a reminder of the sacred nature of the Hannukah lights. It is said after the candles are lit. Photo from history.com.

Hannukah (Heb. Judaism, Dedication) is the Jewish Festival of Lights. It honors the victory of Judah the Maccabee, religious freedom and the 'miracle of holy oil' and celebrates the power of God. Hannukah begins at sundown the previous day and lasts for 8 days. This year it is celebrated 12/22 to 12/29.

Happy Hannukah! May your life be filled with miracles everyday.

Beautiful, intense and filled with awe, this painting captures the essence of spiritual inspiration. Magnificent!

Mohammed was  born in 570 CE in Mecca. Orphaned at a young age, he was brought up by his uncle. He married at age 25 and worked as a merchant. He was discontented with his life so went into the mountains to meditate and reflect. At age 40, in the month of Ramadan, Mohammed received a revelation from God. The illustration right shows Angel Gabriel giving Mohammed his first revelation. Three years later he began speaking about his revelations. The Noble Qur'an is a collection of God's teachings through Mohammad. It says...

59:24. He is the One GOD; the Creator, the Initiator, the Designer. To Him belong the most beautiful names. Glorifying Him is everything in the heavens and the earth. He is the Almighty, Most Wise.

5:16. GOD guides those who seek His approval. He guides them to the paths of peace, leads them out of darkness into the light by His leave, and guides them in a straight path.

Nicholas Roerich (Himalayas, 1929) says ...

"Highly interesting are the words of At-Tabari about the prophetic mission of Mohammed (“History of Prophets and Kings”): “The revelation of the divine messenger began with impartations of truth, which came to him as the morning glow. Then he was filled with the desire for solitude and remained in the cave on Mount Hira. And so to him came the eternal True One and said, ‘Mohammed, thou art God’s messenger. I knelt,’ God’s messenger says, ‘and I waited. Then I slowly left. My heart was trembling. I came to Hadija and said to enwrap me, enwrap me, and my fear left. And He came again and said to me. 'Mohammed, I am Gabriel, and thou art the Messenger of God...' '” The exclamation 'Enwrap me' gives authentic occult character to the narrative." 

Nicholas Roerich (1874–1947) — ). Russian scholar, mystic, painter, and designer. He cofounded the Agni Yoga Society with his wife Helena, a channel of El Morya. God whispers to you

night and day

in wind and rain

and storms

and sparkling dew

upon the lawn.

God's song of life

sings, "I'm with you

I'm all around

just look and see

for I AM you

and you are me."

God whispers to you

all the time

in thoughts and words

of self and others

God's song of love

sings, "I'm with you

and you're with me

I'm everyone

and all you see."

No matter what religion

Creator dwells within

and God has never left us

he can't... you see, he is us

and all Creation too.

You say that God made pain

I reply he didn't, he made

emotions, mind and spirit.

It's we who choose the outcome

of how we feel and what we think

our happy, sad or worried

comes from us alone.

How I respond to others

or even to myself

is my responsibility

not God's, not yours nor others

it is mine alone my friend

and yours alone as well.

God called us 'human beings'

he says 'Just be... my children... play'.

But we take that play and twist it

and call each other names

we poke and hit and banter

until we feel the shame.

We hurt ourselves my friend

not God nor other either.

God called us 'human beings'.

we call us 'human doings'

for the being part escapes us

in our daily life of doing.

God's gone missing in existence

from our minds, and words and lives

and we blame God for our suffering

and we blame God for our pain

and we blame God for every other thing

in life that brings us shame.

It is we who have created that

we put everything outside of self

when it's us that's the creator.

God loves us beyond reason

and allows our will and folly.

For this is how we grow and change

and choose again a different play

a different game, a new response.

It can't remain the same for long

It's through our pain we change

or stay the same and suffer.

So it's a choice to stay the same

as well a choice to change.

God loves us and supports our choice

with majesty and might

he doesn't even mind it much

if we only choose to fight.

For he knows one day we'll get it

and move back again to love and peace

for our eternal days.

Oneness and the Heart of the World

Father Thomas Keating talks about God's dynamic nature and the Divine Oneness of 'All That Is' in this wonderful inspirational video. He is wise, speaks from the heart and is sure to bring a smile. He says this about Oneness...

"We're (human beings) moving into Oneness. In other words a Oneness that we already have but at various levels of our being; and hence we're aware of the Oneness in different ways, and in different intensities, and in different levels and able to respond as our awareness of this presence keeps evolving. The presence keeps expanding and becoming more penetrating, more enveloping, more involved with each of our bodily, mental, physical and spiritual activities or capacities. So we're always experiencing this Oneness, but when does it become that, which is described as there being 'No other'? This is something that maybe we could talk about tomorrow after a good nights sleep.

That's really very advanced and has few (as far as we know about it from reports) people who actually experience it as a permanent state of awareness or consciousness. Who have become not only 'the Other', but are 'the Other' in a way. Now this doesn't in anyway deny the distinction between God and us which is infinite. It does deny the separation..."
