'Creator's Majesty' photo by Ryan Ridge

'Creator's Majesty' is my name for this amazing image. Ryan Ridge added this photograph to flickr January 7, 2009. A rainbow from his front porch near Homer, Alaska. Wow!

Creator's Majesty

Snow covered mountains peek through mists.

Light plays on drifting clouds.

Still waters shimmer, cold.

While dark pines guard lakes edge.

Rainbow streaks across the sky

The scene so full of wonder

Body shudders, mind expands

Tears fall on wetted cheek

Creator's Majesty!

Words do no justice here

Simply awe...

Heart on Fire

Heart on Fire Chile's Chaiten volcano photo ©2008 Carlos Gutierrez

'Heart on Fire' photograph by Carlos Gutierrez

'Heart on Fire' is my name for this unbelievable photo. One of the series taken May 2, 2008 when Chile's Chaiten volcano awakened after 9,000 years of slumber. The ash cloud looks like a heart on fire, pierced by light and exploding with love.

The earth... everything, is getting more spectacular, more awesome and more majestic. I don't remember ever seeing so much awe, color, depth or events which WOW. 2008 was truly a year of movement.

Heart on fire

Earth trembles

Groans, rumbles

Mountain shakes

Bursting crust

Exploding gasses

Steam and ashes

Fire... lightening

Mother stirs

She awakens

From long slumber

And remembers

Glory bright

Patterns shatter

Heart on fire

Pierced by Light

Love pours forth

From crackling Earth

Mother wakes

with great Delight

Signs and Wonders

Iridescent clouds by wilco1900, Round Rock TX Aug, 1 2008

'Iridescent clouds' photograph by wilco1900

Spectacular display! Iridescent, opalescent colors above the clouds. A glimpse beyond... to the new spectrum of Light. Colors unseen... displaying pearlized opals in the sky. Shimmering pink orange of love, sparkling gold-ish of Spirit. We are given many signs and wonders. Visions of our progress... we move... expand... become. Thank you beloved Creator, thank you, I remain in awe!

Signs and Wonders

Pearlescent... opalesce... exotic

Colors shimmer in the sky

We stretch... we move...

Beyond what was.

Expanded... broadened

We see what is

All around, everywhere

Creator's signs and wonders.

~Inspired by the beautiful photos on this page.

Atmospheric Optics explains, "When parts of clouds are thin and have similar size droplets, diffraction can make them shine with colors like a corona. In fact, the colors are essentially corona fragments. The effect is called cloud iridescence or irisation, terms derived from Iris the Greek personification of the rainbow.
The usually delicate colors can be in almost random patches or bands at cloud edges. They are only organized into coronal rings when the droplet size is uniform right across the cloud. The bands and colors change or come and go as the cloud evolves. They occur most often in altocumulus, cirrocumulus and especially in lenticular clouds. Iridescence is seen mostly when part of a cloud is forming because then all the droplets have a similar history and consequently have a similar size.

The lovely photo above taken August 1, 2008 in Round Rock, Texas by wilco1900 is displayed on flickr.com. I couldn't find any more information.

ice halo 1-3-09 Mila Zinkova, San Francisco, Californa Daily it seems we are given new spectacular displays. Spring Maiden, Tingstad and Rumbel

'Spring Maiden' performed by Eric Tingstad and Nancy Rumbel

Lovely, soft and sweet. Beautiful performance of  a traditional Korean folk song. Mmmm... nice!

Tingstad and Rumbel, Song: Spring Maiden performed on ocarina, English horn and guitar, Album: Leap of Faith (2008), Label: Cheshire Records, Video production: Aaron Rabin.

Spring dawns

Grass dances as breeze passes

Flowers stretch to warming sun

Mist puddles refracting rainbows

Bird sings of season come

Earthy musty fairy's yawn

Winter's long sleep finally done

Joyfully greeted warming sun

Life's elated... a new spring dawns.

~Inspired by 'Spring Maiden'

'Light Portal' is my name for this amazing photograph taken December 28. A visible portal or columned pathway of White Light in the  night sky above Latvia. And between the columns at the end of the path can you see the face? Is it Christ? Or Buddha? Or God blessing our return?  I am in awe... thank you beloved Creator, thank you for this amazing blessing!

Inspired by the amazing photo above.

The wonderful photo above was taken by Aigar Truhin in Sigulda, Latvia on  Dec. 28, 2008. You can see more of his photos at flickr.com.

Aigar says of the image:

Last night air in the Sigulda was very cold and filled with small ice crystals, when we see bright Light Pillars in the sky. My son say: I know, The Aliens are coming!

Space Weather featured one of Truhin's photos on their home page January 2 & 3, 2009.  With the following explanation...

MYSTERY PILLARS: "Truhin's pillars, however, are not the ordinary kind. Even two leading experts in atmospheric optics can't quite figure them out: "These pillars are mysterious," say Les Cowley and Marko Riikonen. "They have unexplained curved tops and even curved arcs coming from their base. Arcs in rare displays like these could be from column crystals to give parts of tangent arcs, others could be the enigmatic Moilanan arc or even the recently discovered reflected Parry arc. We do not know – so take more photos on cold nights!"

the dove

~a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Lovers Rock Sedona, AZ photo by Light. © 2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All Rights Reserved.

Yes dear friend we all get hurt

and others they can stir up dirt.

In love or out it matters not

for human love is not what's sot.

We look here and we look there

and try to find love everywhere.

But what we find is half at best

and breaks our hearts, perhaps the rest.

It's not the love we're seeking friend

it's half at best and in the end

We remember what we've lost

at such a great emotional cost.

It's God's love, not the human kind

that fills us with a gift Divine.

And when two in this space of love

find each other, they find the Dove

This is the gift, these are the plans

this is what our God demands.

To love like God, with heart and Soul

and open up... let go control.

Connect with body, soul and mind

into a place of Love not blind.

but wholly seeing, holy knowing

this is the seed that God is sowing.

To love each other like God loves us

and this my friend takes perfect Trust.

It takes letting go ways of thinking

that hem us in and keep us sinking.

And letting go of future and past

for these are false and do not last.

Now is all we have to love in

so open gentle heart... begin.

Love opens us to possibilities

and tears down all of our hostilities.

It heals all wounds, and mends all harm

so let go the past, let go alarm.

Open up to life and love

and live again, fly like the dove.

Open to God’s Divine Plan

live in Love and hand in hand

Heart to heart and soul to soul

watch the Divine gifts unfold.

Beautiful is life with of love

it is the magic of the Dove.

God Whispers

a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Warm Pallet photo by Light. © 2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All Rights Reserved.

God whispers to you

night and day

in wind and rain

and storms

and sparkling dew

upon the lawn.

God's song of life

sings, "I'm with you

I'm all around

just look and see

for I AM you

and you are me."

God whispers to you

all the time

in thoughts and words

and deeds

of self and others

kindnesses.

God's song of love

sings, "I'm with you

and you're with me

I'm everyone

and all you see."

God whispers to you

this moment

in all that is

and all you see

of miracles

and majesty.

God's song of peace

sings "I hear you

and heal your wounds

and fill your heart

just stop and be."

God whispers to you

night and day

through everything

you gaze upon

in happiness

in sorrow too

life's poignant as

it's meant to be.

God's song of truth

sings, " Listen now

slow down your life

quiet your thoughts

just stop and be

then you'll hear me."

Creator

a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Sunrise Majesty - Photo by Light. ©2003-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

No matter what religion

Creator dwells within

and God has never left us

he can't... you see, he is us

and all Creation too.

You say that God made pain

I reply he didn't, he made

emotions, mind and spirit.

It's we who choose the outcome

of how we feel and what we think

our happy, sad or worried

comes from us alone.

How I respond to others

or even to myself

is my responsibility

not God's, not yours nor others

it is mine alone my friend

and yours alone as well.

God called us 'human beings'

he says 'Just be... my children... play'.

But we take that play and twist it

and call each other names

we poke and hit and banter

until we feel the shame.

We hurt ourselves my friend

not God nor other either.

God called us 'human beings'.

we call us 'human doings'

for the being part escapes us

in our daily life of doing.

God's gone missing in existence

from our minds, and words and lives

and we blame God for our suffering

and we blame God for our pain

and we blame God for every other thing

in life that brings us shame.

It is we who have created that

not God nor other either

we put everything outside of self

when it's us that's the creator.

God loves us beyond reason

and allows our will and folly.

For this is how we grow and change

and choose again a different play

a different game, a new response.

It can't remain the same for long

for this is how we grow our soul.

It's through our pain we change

or stay the same and suffer.

So it's a choice to stay the same

as well a choice to change.

God loves us and supports our choice

with majesty and might

he doesn't even mind it much

if we only choose to fight.

For he knows one day we'll get it

and we'll change our haughty ways

and move back again to love and peace

for our eternal days.

aging...

~a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

QuanYinRock-Sedona - photo by Light ©2002-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

Your face is hidden by a book

a picture of the cover.

Which holds inside a group of thoughts

about a time, about a place

but not about the man himself.

Perhaps the surface... not the depth

the fullness, sense or feeling.

There are no words, which can describe

the tactile sense, inside the mind

inside the soul, inside the being.

Inside the fullness of the man

that's who you are indeed.

A face describes itself with life

of all it's seen and all it's done.

It scribes upon it lines of age

sweet misery, sweet joy.

Every hair of snowy white

is honor that is earned in life.

Age is wisdom, color, flavor

experience itself to savor.

Wear it proudly, fly it high

this flag of story, let none deny.

A place in time, describes an age

a youth or man and now a sage.

All slots in time, placeholders only

filled up with life, sweet love or sorrow.

Experienced within a moment

for this is all we have... right now.

Life's never over, until you claim it

be what you want, live it, name it.

It is our clay, modeled with desires

and shaped with every choice.

Choose life my friend, and live it well

with laugher filled and dancing joy.

Alive, awake and in sweet dreams

For life is what we make it.

Will you show your face to me?

Paris...

a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Eiffel Tower, Paris - Photo by Light ©2003-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

Ah Paris 'tis the city of love

a beautiful place indeed.

Enjoy yourself and if you like

have a pastry for me.

A croissant, pasty or a tart

with cream, and fruit, and crust.

Such a delight with every bite

is sinful, and a must.

Have an espresso at a street cafe

and watch the passersby

In thought, or talk, or steadfast walk

so busy with their lives.

Enjoy a walk along the Seine

or boat ride to the Louvre.

With easy access everywhere

you can also ride the Tube.

Enjoy your trip to Paris

have a glass of wine for me.

And over here I'll taste it

on my lips, just wait and see.

I taste a red, hardy and full

it’s peppery and smooth.

Oh no it’s white, a crisp delight

it’s flowery… oh no it’s bright.

Did you have two, or maybe three

I’m so confused it must be me.

I taste a tart, and coffee too

my senses don’t know what to do.

Enjoy your trip to Paris

and I’ll be here with you

Or is it there, I just don’t know

with you I’m split in two.

I don’t know what I’m doing

and I don’t know what I see

All I know that I like you

and you’ll have the best from me.

Enjoy your trip to Paris friend

best wishes, bon voyage

I don’t know how to end this

so I’ll just press the pause…

oh life... sweet wondrous life

~a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Sweet Life - photo by Light ©2002-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

So much more then simple words

deep hearted inner sorrow.

Say what you will, time will allow

for life speaks not tomorrow.

Each breath, each move ignites our soul

and fills our cups with wonder.

How we spend this mighty gift

or choose which path to walk on.

Is only that and nothing more

a choice, a simple choice.

Wrapped within experience

set upon a golden plate.

With love and laugher, joy or sorrow

in each and every moment.

Thus we write our book of life

Oh Life... sweet wondrous life.

breathe in...

~a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

photo by Light ©2002-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

A man with power, pride perhaps

with jealousy no doubt.

Tries to control, by putting down

denouncing or defiling

with envious beguiling.

All empty threats and meaningless

and truly of no import.

Unless you take it inward

engaging self to battle self.

Indeed there is no other

take back what you have given.

Your power and your peace

take back what you have given, friend.

Back up a step… and breathe self in!!!

Breathe in the knowledge who you are

breathe in the peace, breathe in the calm.

Breathe in your light...

it will illumine what you see

and flood with light the darkness.

For it alone is all that’s real

and it alone supports you.

Take back your power, step into life

and choose a different story.

You write the script, edit the book

create a new beginning.

soft darkness, waking joy...

~a poem by Bonnee Klein Gilligan

Sunrise dreams - photo by Light ©2002-2008 Bonnee Klein Gilligan. All rights reserved.

So was in a dream indeed

in space, in quiet being.

Danced on air and time stood still

through misty fog revealing.

These flashing skies and clapping booms

stand watching as time passes.

Sweet moisture, cool and gentle rain

without a wetness seeming.

Soft darkness passes lightly by

what was is now forgotten.

To waking full upon the day

in paradise abounding.

All with promise pregnant poised

awaiting only choices.

Reveals itself with breath and life

and moments as we make them.

The road, the place are all the same

for home is where the heart is.
